The service
SearchAPI provides programmatic access to search results over an HTTP API. We may change, add, or remove endpoints and response fields. Breaking changes to a documented endpoint will be announced by email to account holders at least 30 days in advance.
Accounts
You sign in with a link sent to your email address, so keeping that mailbox secure keeps your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping API keys secret. Anyone holding a key can spend your credits. Revoke a key from the dashboard the moment you suspect it has leaked.
Credits and payment
Credits are prepaid and are consumed one per successful request. Requests that fail because of a fault on our side are not charged. Credits do not expire and carry no cash value. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
Refunds
Email support within 30 days of a purchase and we will refund unused credits from that purchase to the original payment method.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to infringe others' rights, or to send traffic on behalf of third parties in a way that disguises its origin. Do not attempt to circumvent credit limits, rate limits, or authentication. We may suspend an account that does so, and will refund any unused credits when we do.
Availability
We aim for high availability but do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee at this tier. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where practical.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end the agreement with 30 days' notice, refunding any unused credits. Either way, these terms stop applying except for the sections that by their nature survive.
